Becoming a lawyer, risky?

Nick asked:
I’ve always wanted to become a lawyer in the corporate field specifically, and I believe I can match up to the job title. The only thing is, I’ve learned that many people who actually enter college and plan on becoming a lawyer change their minds. I understand that it’s very competitive, but are there enough jobs out there for corporate/commercial lawyers? Someone I know passed his bar examination and was ready to get a job…except there were none (forgot which type of lawyer he is) for his job so he now delivers pizza…

Could any lawyers, or people in who have experienced a similar if not the same situation help? Or anyone else!
Thank you! Fresh, warm 10 points waiting!

My advice if you have a passion for something you will and can find a way to make it work. I have a couple of friends that graduated from law school a couple of years ago and they both have jobs they love.
You might also want to make an appointment at some of law schools that you are considering – specifically someone in career services. They probably know the job market better than anyone else.
Good Luck!!!!
